On Monday May 20, The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Board of Directors officially approved funding for Seedco to continue as the Connector Entity for the Upper Eastern Shore and Southern Regions of Maryland for FY 2019-2020, with the option of two renewal years through 2022. With this funding, Seedco’s and its partner Navigators will continue to provide these communities with outreach, education, and free, confidential in-person assistance to enroll individuals and families in qualified health and dental plans, Medicaid, or the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP). Seedco currently supports over 20 certified Navigators in 10 Maryland counties and has enrolled over 30,000 individuals into coverage since the program’s inception in 2013.
