Seedco’s Mid-South office in Memphis, TN was awarded $1,480,000 from the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL)’s Reentry Project grant program to improve employment opportunities for justice-involved young adults in Memphis. This program will build on Seedco’s two existing USDOL grants serving individuals with a history of criminal justice involvement, in both Memphis and Baltimore, as well as Seedco’s programs serving out-of-school youth funded by the Memphis Workforce Investment Network.
Seedco is proud to be part of USDOL’s Reentry Project grant program, which “supports the improvement and effectiveness of research-based, evidence-informed services that lead to better employment opportunities and outcomes for eligible participants. These grants give organizations the opportunity to develop new models with a focus on assisting communities with high poverty and crime rates in planning and implementing comprehensive reentry programs for justice-involved young adults ages 18-24 and adults age 25 and older.” Read the full USDOL press release here.
