Seedco has been awarded a Department of Justice Second Chance Act grant to support justice-involved adults return to their community and achieve economic stability.

Through this grant, Seedco’s Mid-South Regional Office is launching the Midsouth More Than Ready program. Our team will partner with Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Jr. and the Shelby County Division of Corrections over the next three year to support over 160 adults. Seedco staff will begin working with eligible participants prior to their release and transitioning with them as they return to their community.

The More Than Ready program will utilize an evidence-based criminogenic risk assessment to determine risk of recidivism and guide efforts to develop individual success plans tailored to each participant in the program. Services will include case management, connections to community-based services, mentoring, cognitive based life skills and job readiness training, credential attainment, and employment services.
