On November 19, 2018, Seedco’s Executive Director Tara Colton joined a group of workforce leaders to meet with New York City Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policy Initiatives Phil Thompson, his Chief Strategy Officer Mike Nolan, and Amy Peterson, the new Director of the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development. Tara and her colleagues emphasized the impact of investing in marginalized communities through workforce services.

The meeting was convened by the NYC Employment and Training Coalition, of which Seedco is a proud member, and Tara serves as an Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of the Legislative, Policy and Advocacy Committee.
