Seedco is highlighted in a recently released brief on an evaluation conducted on federally-funded Responsible Fatherhood programs.
The Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) has released “Implementing an Innovative Parenting Program for Fathers: Findings from the B3 Study.” OPRE is an office of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), which is a division of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Building Bridges and Bonds, or B3, evaluation tested approaches used in ACF’s Responsible Fatherhood programs.
As part of a series of publications from the B3 evaluation, this brief presents the first systematic analysis of how the Just Beginning innovation, a one-on-one parenting curriculum, was implemented. Seedco is one of three organizations utilizing the Just Beginning intervention and is highlighted in this brief. The B3 study involved six organizations with existing Responsible Fatherhood programs.
This brief describes (1) how fatherhood programs implemented JB within their existing services; and (2) how fathers engaged in both JB and the organizations’ usual menu of services.
