It is with deep and profound sadness that the Seedco family shares the devastating news that our dear friend and Board Member, Mr. Herman Strickland, passed away on Sunday, April 5th.  We are grateful to Herman for his strength, guidance, and commitment throughout the years on the Board of Directors. Herman served in this role for the past 8 years and in the last year became Secretary. Herman was an eager and active supporter of Seedco’s work in the Mid-South Region, which includes his hometown of Memphis, TN.

We remember Herman as an intelligent, committed, and kind man of faith. His fierce passion to fight for the communities and individuals we served, along with his smile and sense of humor, endeared him to us all. As we carry on with Seedco’s work, we remember the dignity and humility with which he served the community. While he has been recognized many times for his community contributions, in 2019 Seedco honored Herman with an award to recognize outstanding contributions to Seedco, the board, and the communities we serve. We extend our sincerest and deepest condolences to Herman’s family, friends, colleagues, and others who loved and cared for him.
