Seedco’s Southern Region Navigator Team

Seedco participated in Maryland Health Benefit Exchange’s (MHBE) public forum held on Tuesday May 14th, 2019 at the Charles County Library. MHBE is hosting a series of forums across the state to provide an update of the health insurance marketplace and lead a discussion about regional needs and strategies for the future. The event was well attended by community stakeholders committed to helping southern Marylanders locate and maintain affordable health coverage, with Seedco highlighting its Southern Region Navigator program. Presentations were made by MHBE leaders Michele Eberle, Andrew Ratner, and John-Pierre Cardenas. Seedco’s Senior Program Director Mark Romaninsky presented information about Seedco’s Navigator Team and the free, confidential in-person assistance they provide to enroll individuals and families in qualified health and dental plans, Medicaid, or the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP). Seedco currently supports over 20 certified Navigators in 10 Maryland counties and has enrolled over 30,000 individuals into coverage since the program’s inception in 2013.
